Aims and Objectives

1. " PROF. NIRU HAZARIKA EDUCATION AND RESEARCH TRUST " is a broad board initiative for implementations & introduction of research ideas designed to enlarge public engagement for generating social discourses and development activities for greater welfare of the society.

2. To promote research activities among young scholars so that an inclusive model of development may be initiated . Issues related to fields like gender studies, artificial intelligence and its psychological and social impact, peace and conflict studies among others will be studied with latest advance in respective domains.

3. To introduce among different members of the society and interest in various political and economic discourses and a critical understanding of them.

4. To being into the limelight different issues of ethnicity, formation of cultural identities and social evolution of north-east India.

5. To develop a mindset among the young generations of the society, that a desire to serve people and communities may find a suitable place among the educational materials and other forms of communication.

6. To focus on different aspects of sustainable development so that issues related to climate change may be addressed at regional and national levels.

7. Establish an organisational structure so that an atmosphere of truly across the discipline mode of research activities may find a suitable place.

8. To conduct different academic programmes including education and training programmes for better understanding of the current global research focus.

9. To introduce scholarships and fellowships to encourage the participation of young scholars and interested members of the society.

10. To introduce different categories of publications like research journals, working papers, occasional papers, books of integrated research as well as books which address critical issues and are meant for common readers.
